A single set of footprints crossing the Lupine Field stood out, the frozen tracks now melting slower than the snow around them. I was reminded that every footprint we place on the land leaves an impression, whether seen or not.

When wet snow freezes at night, providing a solid surface, I look forward to early morning walks. When the conditions are right, it is a great adventure. The trick is to know when the conditions get too warm.
