Making Adjustments

The snow load on the roof let go and pulled the suet feeder off its hanger. The woodpecker just made the adjustment and ate from the feeder on top of the snow. Life is a constant adjustment and often the adjustment turns out better.

We stood at the top of the Lupine Field to admire the mountains in the distance, and there was another mountain we had not seen before floating above the rest. It looked very real, but we knew it wasn’t.

Ever since we purchased the land behind our house we have heard stories of a cave on the mountain. My psychic friends have even drawn me pictures. I’m not sure if we will ever find one or even if there is one, but it is a great mystery.

I could see them coming out of the woods, and I hastily tossed some corn out the window; soon there was a crowd of turkeys grubbing for their breakfast. I thought back to when I wished I could see a wild turkey. Times have changed.

It was a beautiful clear winter day, and Mount Washington stood out in its bright coat of white. I felt a cool breeze as I took in this spectacle, and when I left for the trip back to the valley, my mind seemed to have more clarity.

A Sign in the Snow

I spotted a familiar shape in the snow on the far side of the brook. It was a heart sign from the Source beyond our current understanding that I was on the right path and that I was not alone. It was a good feeling.
