Years ago I bought a “box lot” at an auction that contained a mailbox. When the cabin was being built, we placed it nearby. There is no mail delivery there, but it serves as a reminder that we often wait for things that never arrive.

Trail Markers

When we first were deciding where we want to create a hiking trail, we used flagging tape to help guide us. Then after we cleared the trail, we attached markers to trees to show the way. Life has trail markers, too.

Every time I gaze across the valley at the White Mountains, regardless of the season, I feel as if I am connected to a magical presence. People travel to the area to experience what I feel. I am grateful to have the opportunity to let my mind soar.

Quartz Energy

The mountain is covered with quartz crystals. They are in the rocks, the boulders and especially in the ledge that the mountain is built upon. There is an energy here and I wonder what the code is to unlock the ancient knowledge contained in the quartz.

The sun’s spotlight created the image of a mountain on a larger mountain. I thought about what I was seeing and all the smaller mountains that make up the large ones. Then I focused on each person that shines in a spotlight of positivity.

The old tree has been hollowed out over time by woodpeckers and decay. It reminds me of people who are nothing but a hollow shell of who they were. With people there is always something of value that still may exist deep within their shells.

The Top of the Hill

I caught the image of my wife just about to crest the top of what appeared to be a steep hill on the old road. It actually was not as steep as it looked, and it reminded me that we often make the hill of life a steeper climb than necessary.
