I have been waiting since the female turkeys disappeared a couple of months ago for them to bring their new broods to hunt for food on the lawn. Recently that day arrived, and now I will enjoy watching them grow over the rest of the summer.

The sassy beebalm has a brilliant color that almost seems to buzz. In fact, I often hear the buzz of the bees as they gather nectar from the blossoms. I wonder how many people never take the time to appreciate Nature’s amazing day to day life.

Crossing the bottom of the Lupine Field, in the northern corner, clumps of tall lavender flowers caught my eye. It was a new discovery in a place not seen from the top of the clearing. Seeing life from a different angle can often lead to new discoveries.
